{DIY} MARIGOLD BUFFET TABLE

When I saw this buffet table in the very back of an antique mall, tucked away in the corner, hidden beneath other antiques, I knew right then and there, I HAD TO HAVE IT!!  I fell in love and couldn't wait to get my hands on it.

It was in great shape, so initially I felt a little bad to paint over it, but quickly got over it!  I was looking for a POP of color in my house so I knew I had to take a chance and go for a bold but beautiful yellow (the accent color of my dining room/living room.

I just LOVE how it turned out and the jolt of sunshine it adds to my house!

 Steps included:
1. Sand
2. Prime
3. Paint with desired color (at least 3-4 coats for a desirable furniture finish)
4. Spray paint the hardware
My buffet included a sliding drawer shelf, so I updated the shelf lining from the stained velvet to a beautiful yellow and gray fabric.

I have to give MAJOR props to my mom who helped on this project as well!

{PINTEREST} PARTY

HERE'S WHAT I HAVE BEEN UP TO...

So, it's safe to say I have been a little MIA!  Life caught up with me...wedding planning, job change, lots of JSD projects!!  Needless to say, I have been very busy and I have lots of new blog posts to show you.  So stay tuned!

{Pinterest} really started taking over me and my friends' lives around Christmas time.  So we decided to have a {Pinterest} Party!  We all picked our favorite (or two) Pinterest project we had seen and brought all the materials to the party for everyone to make that craft!  It turned out to be a fantastic day and I left with some new great ideas and some new memories!  I can't wait until we do this again.  I think it is time to do a {Pinterest} Summer Party?!?! ;)

Check out what we did below!
