Weekend Recap....

It was such a fun, quick weekend for us!  Unless you are in my family, you just don't understand our family weddings!!! :)  They are SO much fun!  We let our hair down, push our troubles aside for a couple of hours, celebrate the new family member joining the clan, and dance and sing until we are speechless the next day!!  There is even a little choreographed "rolling" on the dance floor for one particular song!!  ;)  But at the end of the day it's all about celebrating love!  And we all love that!

Dress is from Ann Taylor Loft.  I had quite a few compliments on it! You know how you have a "go-to" wedding reception dress.....this is mine!! :)  Hubby is looking pretty great too in his seersucker suit!

On Sunday, it was back to work for me.  I did a little shopping for a client and checked out a new furniture outlet store in the Castleton area called Weekends Only.  As the name suggests, they are only open on the weekends -- Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

They had some fun, unique pieces that you can't find other places, which I love.  I hate when every store has the exact same thing.  It gets boring.  Because they are an outlet store, they also have some basic, cheaper looking furniture.  But their console tables, lighting, rugs, and some of their dining room tables were eclectic and wordly looking.  Great wood pieces.  Those are the items that really stood out to me and I thought were awesome!  It is hard to find big, quality pieces like this.  Prices were amazingly good.  $500-$800 for a huge console table like this is a great deal.

Obsessed with the detail of this one!  I think it was like 7' long, so you would definitely have to have the right space for this.

I left with a rug for a client, so I left happy!  This huge warehouse is full of furniture from outdoor patio furniture, bedroom suites, mattresses, dining room furniture, sofas, accent chairs, to home accessories like artwork, lighting, awesome wood cutting boards, and even Rewined Candles, which are my favorite.

Have a good week!

An Outdoor Country Glam Wedding

It was the perfect Fall Saturday afternoon for a wedding!  The sun was shining.  Not a cloud in the sky! There couldn't have been a more beautiful wedding day for this outdoor country wedding of Jenny + Kenny!

Jenny has been a best friend to me since Kindergarten!  It was such a special day to help her prepare for the wedding and to stand by her side on the day she married her best friend!

I was honored to help her with her wedding decor for the event.  And of course I loved helping pulling it all together!  I am humbled that jenny asked me for so much advice when it came to her wedding decor.  She had a vision of this beautiful outdoor country glam wedding and we made it happen!

From the cowboy boots to the yellow sunflowers, to all the diamonds, jewels and lace, and country touches of hay bales and burlap, everything was perfect!

I had hours and hours of time in all the chalk board signs I made for Jenny + Kenny but they looked awesome!  I used chalk markers to get a more precise, clean edge to all of the hand lettering.  You can find these at craft stores such as Michael's or Hobby Lobby.  I used varying thicknesses of markers depending on what I was writing.  These will erase, but they are a lot harder to erase from a chalkboard or in our case most of the signs were chalk paint.  I will warn you that once you erase the chalk markers they most likely will have a slight imprint on the chalk paint that won't be able to be erased.  But you can always just add a layer of chalk paint again for a clean slate.  I had a lot of fun doing these for her!

Can't forget to show my handsome date!!

What I Did This Weekend

This weekend I attended a beautiful country, garden wedding!  I had the honor of designing and creating the wedding programs for my cousin's big day!  I was very pleased with how they turned out and received lots of compliments on them!  (Again, I made these on Power Point, friends.  Just like these and these.)  My favorite part is the antler detail I used throughout the program.

They also had some interesting wedding decor to direct traffic to the correct location!

The hay bale bride + groom was definitely a first for me!  I had never seen anything like it. But they definitely win the award for creativity and DIY skills here.

I am still loving the trend of photo booths at weddings!  It makes for such a memorable take-home gift for the guests.

Husband + I
sisters.
I have a new custom piece to refinish for a customer!  Picked up a great antique desk she has had for years and didn't know what to do with it, so now it is time for a bit of a facelift.  It will be getting painted a beautiful turquoise color, kind of like this one from my pinterest board.

I also saw that Target has some fab new furniture pieces in their Threshold line!  I am swooning over anything gold or brass right now.  Target Threshold once again knocks this one out of the park!  Love it all, but here are some of my top LOVES right now.  Did I mention these are all under $150?!?  I must  go  RUN to Target immediately!

Have a great week!
