It was in great shape, so initially I felt a little bad to paint over it, but quickly got over it! I was looking for a POP of color in my house so I knew I had to take a chance and go for a bold but beautiful yellow (the accent color of my dining room/living room.
I just LOVE how it turned out and the jolt of sunshine it adds to my house!
Steps included:
1. Sand
2. Prime
3. Paint with desired color (at least 3-4 coats for a desirable furniture finish)
4. Spray paint the hardware
My buffet included a sliding drawer shelf, so I updated the shelf lining from the stained velvet to a beautiful yellow and gray fabric. |
I have to give MAJOR props to my mom who helped on this project as well!
i love it! i'm using yellow as my accent color when my renovations are complete <3
